Bis Enerji was established in 1992 for providing its partners' heat and electricity needs as "Electricity Production Autoproducer Group". And started operation in 1993 as a joint-stock company with the aim of producing good quality, continuos, reliable and economic electricity.
In 2005, the name of the company was changed into BİS ENERJİ ELEKTRİK ÜRETİM A.Ş. (BIS ENERGY ELECTRICITY PRODUCTION J.S.C.) within the framework of the Electricity Market Law 4628 with the permission of EPDK (Electricity Market Regulation Board), in compliance with the new market conditions
